Meet Tori, Owner of Baked to a T
Where we came from:
As a junior in high school, I began experimenting with recipes passed down to me from my grandmother. I simply loved being in the kitchen and trying new things from fun cake designs and new cookie recipes. This hobby remained and I loved being able to make yummy sweets for my family any time a big event happened or simply just because.
At our family Christmas in 2018, I opened a present from my grandmother full of hundreds of cookie cutters and various baking pans. She had no idea that this gift would be the fire starter to me following my dreams. I quickly began making cookies and experimenting with royal icing. My love for custom cookies was born.
Flash forward 2 years, a couple of big moves, and some life changes. But one thing always remained, my passion for baking. In December 2020, I was tossing around the idea of making my hobby of baking into a real-life business. My mother and father gifted me that Christmas with a Square reader and here we are!
Who and Where We Are:
Started March 3, 2021, Baked to a T is a specialty bakery located in South Carolina. So, not only am I truly living my childhood dream, I'm doing it in the most beautiful and amazing city I get to call home!
While the first year consisted of traveling to various neighborhood food truck nights and events, things are ever evolving. We now specialize in custom orders and do a very small number of events.
We work with individuals as well as companies to design the sweets to fit their needs. Whether it be custom cookies, designer cakes, wedding cakes and dessert bars, or just a southern treat, we are able to bring a dream design to life!
Where we are going:
The future of Baked to a T is ever evolving. I have been so overwhelmed by the support received to this point and feel inspired to keep going and never give up! So what is exactly in the future, only time will tell. But Im sure it will be SWEET!
